Episode 006 - “The X-Factor”

Episode Length: 1:05:57

Episode Summary:
In our sixth episode, we begin with fandom news covering Frozen on Ice and a possible director for the Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. We also cover the Hannibal finale and the Modern Family and, of course, one of our favorite topics, Teen Wolf and spoilers for the new season.  We recap the Supernatural finale and everything that went down that led to Dean becoming a demon in the season’s cliffhanger.  We give our review of X-Men: Days of Future Past and try to make sense of what the new timeline means for future movies. As always, we share our favorite “Ship Moments” since our last episode covering both movies and television. Be sure to tune in for our next episode where we prepare for the return of Graceland and Suits on USA!

This week’s featured music:
“Carry On My Wayward Son” by Kansas

Episode 005 - “The End of the World As We Know It”

Episode Length: 1:08:30

Episode Summary:

It’s our fifth episode!  Time for a special episode dedicated to this week’s season finales!  In this episode, we recap the shows we watch together:

Once Upon A Time: Emma is made of fail, Captain Swan sails the shipping seas while Outlaw Queen crashes and burns, Kelly was right! Elsa appears, which means, next stop: Arendelle

Agents of SHIELD: Nick Fury is in the house, we discuss episode MVPs, shipping Fitzsimmons, our feelings on Skye

Grimm: As we recap the episode, we try and fail to keep it PG, here comes Trouble, we discuss what could possibly happen to Nick, and our feelings on Juliet

We also recap other fandom shows: Arrow, Criminal Minds, Glee, Elementary, a narrowly avoided breakdown about the finale of The Vampire Diaries, and a brief summary of Grey’s Anatomy.  We are both horribly wrong on our history of gay weddings on major networks as we talk about Mitch & Cam’s impending nuptials on Modern Family this week.  (There was also Roc in 1991 and Friends a few years after that.)  We try to prepare ourselves and our listeners for the finale of Supernatural.  We also recap what’s coming up in June (Graceland, Teen Wolf, Suits, and the Boy Meets World spinoff Girl Meets World, which leads to a reliving of our 90’s childhood) and discuss the fall’s new shows we’re excited about (Selfie, Galavant, and How to Get Away With Murder).  As usual, we share our Ship Moments of the Week and prepare for Comic-Con in the coming months!  Be sure to tune in next week for our regularly scheduled programming!

Episode Summary:
In our fourth episode, we kick off with fandom news to prep us for a week of season finales (Game of Thrones, Glee, Agents of SHIELD, Once Upon a Time, and The Vampire Diaries) and recap the Vikings season finale.  We also share the 2014-2015 TV show scorecard and discuss the epic fail of Supernatural: Bloodlines.  We give our review for the new movie The Amazing Spiderman 2 and relate it back to the comic book source material.  We express our concerns about whitewashing casts in TV and cinema.  As always, we share our favorite “Ship Moments” with you!  We try to predict the future of some of our favorite shows and remind you of our amazing contest that was announced last episode!  Be sure to tune in next week too, when we recap all the season finales as soon as they finish!

Episode 003 - “Jump the Shark”

Episode Length: 1:02:36

Episode Summary:
In our third episode we bring you fandom news from all fandoms: Arrow, Supernatural, Vikings, The Vampire Diaries, Once Upon A Time, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We recap a day at WonderCon in Anaheim, California and the new trailer for the latest Broadway-musical-turned-movie Jersey Boys. Our main discussion covers Glee and whether or not it has “jumped the shark” in the last couple seasons. We speculate what it would have been like if Cory Monteith were still alive and what’s up with Ryan Murphy, too. We also talk about fanfiction being published and made into movies and when Real Person Fiction (RPF) crosses a line. We share our favorite “Ship Moments” of the past two weeks and announce some very exciting contests! If you want to be a part of future shows, listen up for the rules! Keep listening for our next episode where we’ll discuss the new The Amazing Spiderman 2 movie and so much more!

This week’s featured music:
“Who Loves You” by the Jersey Boys Original Broadway Cast
“Don’t Stop Believin’” (Pilot version) by the Glee Cast
