What program/tools do you use? I use Photoshop CS6 for almost all my works along with an old Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet (that I should change very soon ><). I also use from time to time Painter 12 because its oil painting and watercolor tools are unique, but also Paint Tool SAI. When it comes to traditional art, I use Liquitex Acrylic painting, Copic markers, Prismacolor pencils, watercolors (nothing fancy, just what I find in supermarkets) but also ballpoint pens. Where do you get your inspiration? A bit everything! Movies I watch, books I read, songs I listen too, even people I see on the streets. Music videos from the 1990's are a big inspiration too. Also, a lot of my inspiration comes from other artists I find on the Internet or when I browse books at my local bookshop: James Jean, Adam Hugues, Ryan Meinerding, Alex Ross, or Chen Shu Fen & Common. Classic artists such as Leyendecker or photographers such as Pierre & Gilles are amongst my great influences too. What are your primary fandoms? Supernatural, first. I’ve been producing artworks for this fandom for six years now. Now, I’m also in the Marvel fandom, particularly Stucky (Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes) and I even created an art blog especially devoted to the life of Bucky Barnes What project have you always wanted to do? A Supernatural fanbook, something that would be mix between sketches, comics and previously unseen B&W illustrations. Unfortunately, where I live, in France, printing this kind of things is extremely complicated because we don’t have a “dôjinshi” or a self-printed fanbook culture. It costs A LOT of money. What I also would like to do is illustrate medical articles for magazines or books. What is your favorite work? If you talk about my recent works, I really love Barnes, Rogers! For the love of God!! which took me about 40 hours to complete. When it comes to older works, I have a soft spot for some of my old Supernatural drawings such as Winchesters Laundry Day and The Whirligig Farm. What is one thing fandom doesn’t know about you? I collect rosaries. Also, I worked as a "voice" in Japan for French language learning methods. If you are Japanese and if you're learning French, there's a chance that the voice you hear on your textbook tape and that tells you to "open your book on page 4" is mine ^^ Give our interview below with petite-madame a read, then go check out her fantastic work!

We here at A Little Nerd Music are extremely honored and excited to announce that we will be an official media sponsor for this year's CHOC Walk in the Park presented by Disneyland Resort®.
While we are still in the very beginning stages of figuring out everything that this may entail, we could not be more thrilled for this amazing opportunity to share our love of CHOC with our listeners and, in turn, share our podcast with all the families who hold CHOC as near to their hearts as we do. Be sure to stay tuned and we will be sharing each step with you guys, our amazing listeners! We would like to give a very special thank you and shout-out to the dedicated people who put their blood, sweat, tears, and sanity into pulling off CHOC Walk each and every year: Zach Abrams, Barbra Lopez, and Lisa Mitaux. -- Kelly Lee Let’s go back to: CHOC Walk 2014!
The CHOC Walk is a charity walk put on by CHOC Children's Hospital in Orange County, California. The walk takes place at the Disneyland Resort throughout Disneyland Park, Disney's California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney District. Each year, the walk sees over 15,000 participants and raises millions of dollars for the premier children's hospital in Southern California. Since its inception in 1990, the CHOC Walk has raised over $24 million that has helped advance the health and well-being of the children seen at the hospital. Disney characters and cast members come out in droves to support the walkers and cheer them on in the early morning hours of early October. Why it means something to you or to our podcast: Last year, your two co-hosts participated in this great event together for the first time. It was my fourth CHOC Walk and Christina's very first. I think it's safe to say that it made quite an impression on her. This year, we're back at it again. We'll be gathering our friends and family to join our team, Team Tiger, for another great year at CHOC Walk and we need your help to get there! As a former patient of CHOC Children's, this is an organization that is not only my day job, but is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Make sure you check out this amazing organization. How can you help?: You can donate to Team Tiger 2015 right here and help us get a sponsorship for this year's walk. Every little bit helps! You can also create your own team or walk as an individual by signing up here! -- Kelly Lee The Artist: Andy Grammer The Song: "Honey, I'm Good" Where you heard it first: When he performed it on Dancing with the Stars as a part of Eras Night for Nastia Liukin and her new partner Sasha Farber. He even got injured pro Derek Hough in on the fun by letting Derek sing the song with him! Why it’s been stuck in your head: I don't know many of Andy Grammer's songs, but this one is an earworm for sure. Try listening to it just once and not dancing along with it. Something about its upbeat tempo and fun lyrics just make you happy about it. Why you recommend it to our listeners: If you're like me, you're always looking for something fun to get you through that commute to work that snaps you out of your "barely awake" haze and gets you ready for the day ahead and this is the perfect song to listen to on your morning commute! What Is It: Pitch Perfect 2 is the sequel to 2012's runaway hit Pitch Perfect starring Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin, Ben Platt, and Adam Devine. This time, we catch up with the 3-time national champion a capella group The Barden University Bellas in their senior year of college. For Chloe (played by Brittany Snow), it's her third go-around at senior year having failed Russian Literature three times in order to remain a part of The Bellas. The movie opens with The Bellas performing for the president (yes, President Obama) on his birthday when a wardrobe malfunction results in a national scandal and the Bellas are subsequently suspended from the International Championship of Collegiate A Capella (ICCAs). Their victory tour is taken away from them and given to professional German a capella group Das Sound Machine and the only way to make their way back into the good graces of the ICCA is by winning the World Championship of A Capella in Copenhagen.
My experience: I absolutely loved the first movie and so I knew I had to see this one as soon as possible. I went to see it one Saturday morning with my friends and it did not disappoint. Aside from the fact that I am a huge music nerd, this movie shines light on the talented people who sing a capella and I can tell you from experience that it is NOT easy. I enjoyed the fact that this sequel was able to keep the same character traits that we had come to know and love in the first film and further expand them to make them even more loveable. Why You Should See It: If you see this movie for nothing else, you must see it for the comedic genius of Elizabeth Banks and John Michael Higgins whose characters John and Gail have now started their own podcast called "Talk-apella" and their ridiculous banter will have you laughing from beginning to end. The movie is also packed with amazing cameos from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, the Green Bay Packers, The Sing-Off champions Pentatonix, The Sing-Off contestants The Filharmonic, Snoop Dogg, comedians David Cross and Keegan Michael-Key, and The Voice judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Pharrell Williams. If you love a capella, or have a girl-crush on Anna Kendrick (because, let's face it, who doesn't?), you should get out there and see this movie immediately! The Future: There have been rumors that Rebel Wilson has already signed on for Pitch Perfect 3 and with the success of this film, a third installment seems inevitable. We will definitely be keeping you posted as we learn more about another sequel. In the meantime, you can catch a capella group Pentatonix opening for Kelly Clarkson on her Piece by Piece Tour this summer, the "Bella legacy" Hailee Steinfeld in Taylor Swift's new music video Bad Blood, and director-producer-star Elizabeth Banks in two more blockbuster movies this year: Magic Mike XXL and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2. Shows are getting renewed, picked up, cancelled, and ending left and right. Check out ALNM's Renewal Scorecard to see the fate of your favorite shows and miniseries.

Let’s go back to: Cinderella, the 1997 television film by Disney. It was a remake of the Rodgers and Hammerstein television musical from 1957 featuring Julie Andrews. Featured in the Wonderful World of Disney, this was the third version of the musical created for television.
Why it means something to you or to our podcast: This movie is the ultimate example of how colorblind casting can work. The cast featured Victor Garber and Whoopi Goldberg as the King and Queen, Paolo Montalban as their son, Jason Alexander as his butler, Broadway legend Bernadette Peters as the wicked stepmother, Brandy in the title role of Cinderella, and the incomparable Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother. Let's be honest. What young actress wouldn't dream of Whitney Houston as their Fairy Godmother. The music is amazing and strong enough to hold up past the cheesiness of the 90s. It's a charming film that's a fun watch for the whole family. Where can you find it now?: You can get the DVD on Amazon for under $10, and you can find a lot of the musical performances on YouTube. Where you heard it first: When I first got the 1989 album. It's a terrible addicting set of music and I highly recommend it. I haven't been the biggest Taylor Swift fan in the past, but the way both she and her music have matured over the past few years is swinging me to her side. Why it’s been stuck in your head: The music video premiered at the Billboard Music Awards last night, and it's pretty much a Sin City/Hunger Games styled cameo overload of Swift's friends and heroes. In summary, it's awesome. Why you recommend it to our listeners: You can point to this song when your friends give you grief over listening to that girl who only ever sings about ex-boyfriends who have wronged her. Plus it's an earworm if I've ever heard one. - Christina (While we usually have designated weeks where one of us does Music Monday and the other does Throwback Thursday, Christina wrote this one and it actually was the EXACT song Kelly was going to profile. Great minds really do think alike. Either that or we've got some issues to work out, Christina....Just kidding! I love you! -- Kelly Lee) The Band: Taylor Swift
