The Artist: Selena Gomez The Event: Carpool Karaoke with James Corden Where you heard it first: As a bigger and bigger fan of James Corden and his brilliant segment Carpool Karaoke, I can now watch it on YouTube before bed and I did just that with the latest celebrity guest: Selena Gomez. The best parts of this installment: taking shots of ginger, cruising through the McDonald's drive through, and Roller Coaster Karaoke. Why it’s been stuck in your head: Selena's new song "Hands to Myself" has been stuck in my head all weekend and watching the two of them sing it together in the car only made me like the song more. Why you recommend it to our listeners: If you haven't yet seen James Corden's Carpool Karaokes, you are totally missing out....and probably just woke up from hibernation, so welcome back to the real world. If you have seen them before, you know that they never disappoint and any one of them could pop up on future Music Mondays. Suffice it to say that Carpool Karaoke is basically the perfect way to start your week off with a smile on your face. -- Kelly Lee
Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Star Trek’s Anton Yelchin. A tragic accident ended his short life earlier this week. He was 27 years old. Rest in peace, Anton.

Episode 040 - “You're On ALNM, Harry!” Episode Length: 1:29:58 Episode Summary: We’re celebrating 40 episodes of A Little Nerd Music! In this episode, Christina has finally allowed Kelly to have a Harry Potter themed episode and it is clear that one host is more excited than the other. As we do with all tenth episodes, we share some of our favorite episode titles, discussions, and moments from the past ten episodes and laugh as we reminisce about our ridiculousness. Of course, we’re already promising an epic 50th Episode even if we don’t have any idea what that will entail just yet. After our trip down Memory Lane, we share our obsessions. While Kelly’s is Chad Johnson from The Bachelorette, Christina is still on a hating-LeBron-James streak after the Golden State Warriors’ devastating loss in the NBA finals. In our main discussion, Kelly gets excited to share her love of the Wizarding World with all you wonderful listeners as we talk about some of our favorite things (and least favorite things) from the books and movies that our generation has come to know and love. We also talk a bit about the new play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and what to expect coming up with our new movie trilogy for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Our usual Ship Moments turn into a discussion of nOTPs and OTPs in the Harry Potter universe and we crown our Episode MVP. Who else could it be other than Ms. Joanne Kathleen Rowling herself? As always, we remind you of the outlets where you can follow us, tweet us, download our episodes, or contact us. Make sure you tune in next week for an all-new episode…the contents of which are a surprise to even your hosts! This week’s featured music: "Hedwig's Theme" composed by John Williams The Song: "Wait For It" The Artist: The cast of Hamilton The Musical Event: Rehearsal for the 70th Annual Tony Awards Why it’s been stuck in your head: This is my FAVORITE song from the entire show and this a capella version just gives me CHILLS. This right here is why Leslie Odom Jr. won the Tony. Why you recommend it to our listeners: Seriously, this song does not get enough attention in all the promotional material and news features I've seen so far. It's amazing and you should just stop reading and listen to it right now. -C

Episode 039 - “The Oscars, But With Diversity” Episode Length: 42:22 Episode Summary: It's our thirty-ninth episode! In this episode, we're returning to our love of the theatre and talking all about this weekend’s Tony Awards. First, we share our obsessions: while Kelly’s is trashy summer television, Christina’s is all about getting in superhero shape. In our main discussion, we get into the Tony Awards by first praising its host James Corden with his amazing opening numbers, his ability to entertain everybody, and of course, more karaoke than we ever expected. Of course, we can’t talk about the Tonys without talking about all the amazing performances this year and we go through each one, discussing what we liked or didn’t like and everything in between. Then there’s the Broadway phenomenon Hamilton. Taking home 11 awards that night, Hamilton was by far the star of the show and Lin-Manuel Miranda must be on Cloud 9 right about now. Speaking of the mastermind behind Hamilton, he’s also our Episode MVP along with host James Corden. We also talk about our mutual Ship Moment involving Mr. Aaron Tveit because we can’t talk about Broadway without giving him a shout out. As always, we remind you of the outlets where you can follow us, tweet us, download our episodes, or contact us. Kelly gets excited about Episode 40 promising a full-length Harry Potter episode to celebrate another milestone episode and Christina begrudgingly agrees. And this is why we’re friends. Make sure you tune in for all the magic in store for the next episode! This week’s featured music: The intro to the 2016 Tony Awards Hamilton: An American Musical 360° - Wait For It Our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragic shooting at Pulse in Orlando, Florida. We honor those heroes that night and those who lost their lives in this horrible tragedy. #OnePulse #PrayForOrlando

This week's Music Monday has been switched out for Musical Monday in honor of the Tony Awards last night. Everything that opened the show for host James Corden was perfection and I'm here to relive it with you all. The Artist: James Corden, the company of Broadway's Hamilton and the company of the Tony Awards The Musical Event: The opening numbers of the 70th Annual Tony Awards Why it’s been stuck in your head: Last night's Tony Awards (AKA the Hamilton Awards) showcased James Corden in a perfect way. While the show was dedicated to those who lost their lives in the Orlando massacre just that morning, it was clear that the attendees, presenters, and host did not have those people far from their thoughts. James Corden was able to perfectly blend the somber tone of the day with the spectacle that the Tonys usually provides for the Broadway community and those who love it. Why you recommend it to our listeners: If you love Broadway as much as my cohost and I do, you don't want to miss this amazing Tony Award performance. -- Kelly Lee
