Let’s go back to: The Backstreet Boys
I know that this could be construed as a continuation of Music Monday, but this week on Dancing with the Stars, former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter danced to one of my favorite songs by the boy band entitled "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)".
Why it means something to you or to our podcast: For Christina and I, *NSYNC always held our hearts, but it was hard to deny the awesomeness of some of the Backstreet Boys' songs and to this day, I still think "Everybody" is a nostalgic song for those of us late-90's kids.
Where can you find it now? Backstreet Boys' music can be found on iTunes and here is the great jazz number Nick Carter performed this week with his DWTS partner Sharna Burgess.
The Artist: Mandy Moore & Zachary Levi
The Song: "I See the Light" from Disney's 50th animated film, Tangled
Where you heard it first: When I saw Tangled in the movie theatre, it quickly became one of my favorite Disney movies. Even though it was computer animated, rather than the classic hand-drawn films, Tangled had a story that all girls loved. Rapunzel was a strong-willed young woman who took it upon herself to see the world after having been locked in a tower for years. With the voice of Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as her companion Flynn Rider, the romantic theme song for Tangled was sure to be amazing and it did not disappoint.
Why it’s been stuck in your head: This song is one of the first Disney themes in the new 60th Anniversary fireworks display at Disneyland Park and every time they play it, I can't help but sing along. I also just went to a Rapunzel themed birthday party for one of my friend's daughters and the hired "Rapunzel" had an amazing voice when she was singing this to all the little kids
Why you recommend it to our listeners: Disney music has always been an integral part of our lives and this song is one of the best. It also won Best Original Song in our Fandom Academy Awards earlier this year. This song is beautiful and sure to get stuck in your head when you listen to it.

Let’s go back to: At the last minute back in 2000, CBS added a little show called CSI: Crime Scene Investigation to its Friday night line up. And television history was changed forever.
Why it means something to you or to our podcast: This show in its prime was a personal favorite of mine. I'm a sucker for a good tv crime drama and shows where science nerds rule. Clearly a show like this was tailor made for me. It really kicked off, for better or worse, the modern obsession of networks with the more science oriented crime drama. It's influence can be seen across a wide spectrum of shows as it helped familiarize the public with modern investigative techniques. The "CSI effect" on actual criminal cases is still under debate.
Where can you find it now? The series concluded with a two hour television movie this past Sunday, and the final remaining part of the franchise (CSI: Cyber) airs on Sunday nights on CBS. Ted Danson will be joining the cast this season continuing his role as D.B. Russell from the original series.
