Episode 019 - “Marvel-ous”

Episode Summary:

In our nineteenth episode, we begin with congratulating the San Francisco Giants on their World Series win!  Christina is very excited about this.  Kelly gets excited about all the new Into the Woods trailers that have been released and we talk casting news, celebrity gossip, and shows that have been cancelled, given full series orders, or are coming soon.  We discuss the comment about sexuality that was made by One Direction’s Harry Styles and what it means for the future of gender equality.  We recap The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, and Dr. Who.  We excitedly reveal the name of the next installment in the Star Wars saga: The Force Awakens!  We talk about Constantine and Elementary and share our obsessions with How to Get Away With Murder and a Halloween themed viral video from Ellen.  Our main discussion is all about the new season of Grimm.  Kelly gushes over Jacqueline Toboni and her love of Trubel and we talk about what it might mean now that Nick Burkhardt no longer has his powers.  Our secondary discussion is all about the awesomeness that is Once Upon A Time and in our tertiary discussion, we talk about all the big reveals of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  From Ryan Reynolds being announced as Deadpool to wondering who the heck they’re going to cast as Dr. Strange, we talk about everything that was revealed in the Marvel event a few weeks ago.  (Be sure to stay tuned after the music to listen to even MORE Marvel talk that didn’t make it into Episode 18!)  In this episode, we each have our own Episode MVPs: Christina’s is Madison Bumgarner and Kelly’s is Jacqueline Toboni.  As always, we share our Ship Moments and we wish all participants of NaNoWriMo good luck!  Be sure to tune into our next episode, a very special 20th episode that celebrates all our favorite things about ALNM in the last few months and we talk all about the show that brought us together as friends, Supernatural!
