by Christina We've been to Comic Con three years in a row now, so I think we can safely say we've decided on some of our favorite places to eat and drink. Here are some of our favorites in no particular order: Bottega AmericanoWebsite: http://www.bottegaamericano.com/ Location: 1195 Island Ave, San Diego Bottega Americano has become our traditional final dinner for SDCC. It's great Italian food (including pizza, pasta, salads, and a great wine list) along with some great desserts. Be sure to check out their tiramisu. Noble ExperimentWebsite: http://www.nobleexperimentsd.com/ Location: 777 G St, San Diego This awesome hidden speakeasy is another ALNM favorite. Be sure to make a reservation a week ahead of time, because Comic Con week will be especially crowded. It's also got a basic dress code (no flip flops or ball caps). But the drinks are so worth the effort. You can order off the menu, or go with the "Dealer's Choice" where they'll make you a custom made drink based off your favorite spirits and flavors. They can also make some great mocktails for the non-drinkers. False IdolWebsite: http://www.falseidoltiki.com/ Location: 675 W Beech St, San Diego False Idol is a hidden bar we tried for the first time this trip. It's tiki themed and a bit more boisterous than Noble Experiment. If you like fruity drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), this is a fun evening. Sammy's Woodfired Pizza & GrillWebsite: http://www.sammyspizza.com/ Location: 12925 El Camino Real, San Diego A trip up to the Del Mar Highlands Town Center is an annual tradition with ALNM. Our favorite is the Burrata & Pesto Woodfired Pizza. But they've also got great soups, salads, shareable dishes. Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Del MarWebsite: http://www.cinepolisusa.com/del-mar.aspx Location: 12905 El Camino Real, San Diego After a meal at Sammy's, we head next door to Cinépolis to catch the latest summer blockbuster. Last year we saw Star Trek Beyond, and this year we saw Spider-Man: Homecoming. The great thing about this theater are the luxury reclining seats and the full bar and menu with in seat waiter service. Watch your favorite movie along with a margarita and mozzarella sticks! Your HotelWe cannot emphasize enough that you should take advantage of the things available to you as a hotel guest. Grab a quick breakfast downstairs in the morning before heading over the the convention center. If you're tired after a long day, pick up the phone and order some room service. Sometimes all you need to recharge is a night in with your friends while eating dinner in your pajamas.

Along with your starter kit, you get to choose one of our amazing collaborative prints from one of our four contributing artists! ![]() And now for swag! We've got some great fan packs put together for you all so you can display you ALNM pride everywhere you go. It's all plastered with our official logo designed by the always fab Dana Benton. We've got a great little Starter Kit available for $15, where you get the official #SDCC mini canvas bag and sunglasses, along with a rubber bracelet supporting CHOC Children's Hospital. You can see Bucky reading the interview we did with her way back when, so you should give it another read too.. We love this print with some of the Avengers checking out the podcast in Clint's coffee shop. It's a combination of some of our favorite things: Caroline's hipster AU, the podcast, and coffee! We've also got some of her other prints on hand for $10 if you to buy them from her: Good morning everyone! After a long drive in a behemoth of a Nissan, we are finally in beautiful San Diego! Last night we had a great time at #GameofBloggers, which was put on by Tony of Crazy 4 Comic Con. We got to talk to a few other bloggers and have some great drinks. Hopefully it will lead to some collaborations in the future! Most notably, be sure to check out Crystal at GeekPinata for some great geek fashion and Jefferson over at Nerds in Recovery, where he does some great work with nerds suffering from depression and other mental disorders. ![]() Our next print is from Katie (katieisfinallytumbling), who was our very first interview in the Love Your Fandom series! Starlord is listening to the podcast, so you should too! Make sure you download the latest episode over at iTunes. We are obsessed with this print. It was an idea we came up with after messaging our talented artists and Katie read our minds! She's just that cool. The only thing that would make this print better was if A Little Nerd Music were actually available on cassette tape. Maybe that'll be our next adventure: we'll dig out that old Walkman and wander the galaxy like Kevin Bacon... ![]() Next up is a print from our latest Love Your Fandom artist interview: Del (dellbelle39)! Thank you to Del who made these original characters especially for us! The original mascots make this print truly one-of-a-kind and we all want to look as these two do when we listen to the podcast, don't we? We also have prints by Del available for purchase this weekend for $10 each: ![]() We've also got a print for you Les Mis fans from Abi (icarus-drunk). You'll get to see an interview with her hopefully soon after our Comic Con adventure. Here you can see a modern day Enjolras listening to our podcast, and don't you want to be just like the young revolutionary? We've also got some of her prints available to pick up this week for $10 each: Tonight we'll have a booth at the Carry On #WaywardCocktails event being put on by SuperWiki over at Analog Bar. We'll have everything available for purchase there. But if you're not going to be partying with us tonight, you can contact us by any means necessary (e-mail, Twitter, Tumblr, messenger pigeon, smoke signals...) to reserve a pack! We'll arrange a meet up to get you your pack. The easiest place would probably be Saturday when we're at Nerd HQ. We'll also be making them available to purchase online via PayPal for those of you who aren't at Comic Con this weekend. Just let us know!
In addition to our basic starter pack, we have a few other options available. The Super Fan Pack is available for $25. It includes everything in the Starter Kit, plus an extra collaboration print. Then there is our Fan Book 2015 Preorder Pack for $40. You'll get everything in the Starter Kit, and you'll be put on the list to receive our very first Fan Book later this year. It's a project we're very excited about, which will summarize a year in both fandom and ALNM. Lastly we've got the Ultimate Fan Pack for $70. It's for those of you who just can't get enough of ALNM (like us!). You'll get the Starter Kit, all four of our collaboration prints, a reservation for our Fan Book, and a little bonus surprise from us. In case you didn't hear, we are the official podcast of CHOC Walk 2015. We've got a raffle going this weekend where you can win 2 one-day Park Hopper tickets to Disneyland! The tickets will take 90 days to fulfill (we'll send them to you via snail mail) and will be good until September 2016. You can purchase a single raffle ticket for $5, or for $20 you can get a strip of raffle tickets the length of your arm.
