What program/tools do you use?
I mostly use graphite pencils for line art and then color it in Photoshop using an Ituous3 Wacom tablet I’ve had for many, many years. Sometimes I go either full-traditional, which usually involves painting with watercolor, or completely digital. Where do you get your inspiration? All over the place! I’m constantly inspired by artists on the web (Tumblr, DevArt, Instagram… etc), and my art friends. Music is a big inspiration as well, especially in fanart. The mood of some songs can be so inspiring that I just pair it with a drawing and build the lyrics into it. What are your primary fandoms? Sherlock has been a primary fandom for me for a very long time. The Pacific Rim, Hannibal, Welcome to Night Vale, Teen Wolf, Inception are some of my favorites as well. I dabble in a bunch of other stuff from time to time. When I was younger I was really into the Artemis Fowl books, and drew some of my earliest fanart of that. What project have you always wanted to do? I’ve always wanted put together a graphic novel. I’ve been working on this sort of project on and off by starting a web comic called “String Cradles”, so I hope I’ll get to develop it fully enough to print it. What is your favorite work? I think “Remember Redbeard?” is one of my favorites, it makes me feel all cuddly and fuzzy on the inside, but also slightly sad. What is one thing fandom doesn’t know about you? I really love the smell of old books, and volunteered in the children’s section of the public library in my home town. Also I’m scared of driving, and currently trying to avoid it by living in Brooklyn haha.
