Ship Bracket 2019 Wild Card Round

Hey everybody! Slight change in plans because your moderator here cannot save her files properly and missed a couple ships from last year's Sweet Sixteen (thanks for pointing it out BB!).

Because I don't want any of the previously announced ships to miss out on the fun, we're starting off with a Wild Card round just like the NCAA. Vote for your favorite ships to make it to the Wild Card slots called out below in red behind the "Read More" break.

Love that you can vote for the “ classic “ ships in this poll. Can't do that on Zimbio.

Destiell vs Marrish in round 1? Not an easy one. But hopefully the destielers are distracted by zimbio.

But a possible Marrish v Stydia in round 2 ... WW3 anyone?

Well, Newtmas is on the other half of the draw. Just imagine if Newtmas and Marrish meet in the final.

I'm pretty sure that would be the apocalypse.

Remember last year, when all the big ships went out in the first round?

Curious if others just vote for their favourites, or if they use some particular strategy.

I know "power voting hours" and alliances between certain ships have been used.

I mean it makes sense to knock out the "big" ships in the early rounds, before they're organised and not distracted by other polls ( * cough * Zimbio).

Something tells me that Fitzsimmons, Percabeth, Sterek, and Spideypool will do well out of this. As they are up against all the previous winners in the first round.

Okay, we have a cunning plan for the first round.

1-Vote for Marrish.

2-Vote for Sterek.

3-Vote for Fitzsimmons (the newts are going down early!)

4- If have time, eliminate other big ships early.

Okay, it wasn't that cunning. But it got us to the Final Four last year, so . . .

Wow.

Looks like zimbio removed captchas on the first day. Well that certainly explains how malec suddenly surged ahead of shamy, in just a couple minutes.

By the looks of it, the zimbio poll is now bot vs bot.

Sorry everyone. My computer had to go on an unexpected date with the Apple Genius Bar. I’m hoping to be back up and running with round one kicking off Monday at 5PM Pacific Time.

That's okay. Gives those involved in zimbio a little extra time... to lose badly to someone’s bot (remember when we complained over the darn captchas?).
