Let’s go back to: The year was 2000. It was a more innocent time full of denim, peasant tops, and cargo pants. It also saw the release of "It's Gonna Be Me" by boy band superpower NSYNC. It was their most successful single, reaching number one on the Billboard Top 100. It was the second single off the No Strings Attached album. The album stills holds the sales record for its first week with 2.4 million copies.
Why it means something to you or to our podcast: Because we're American and grew up in the 90s. The only question in this situation is if we were NSYNC or Backstreet Boys fans. I am one of those people who still searches Google every so often for NSYNC reunion rumors. But this song is a little more relevant around this time of year.
Where can you find it now? Every year on April 30th that time rolls around. Because guess what...it's gonna be May.
